Camel Back road Mussoorie

Camel back road as the name suggests is a rocky outcrop in the shape of a camel's hump giving a resemblance to sitting camel. It starts from Kulri Bazar near Rink Hall and ends at Library Bazar covering a total distance of about 3 kms. The main charm of this road is horse riding and walking. Sunset view of the Himalayas is superb from here. 

Gun Hill Mussoorie

You can enjoy a Ropeway ride to the second highest peak of Mussoorie called Gun Hill. It starts  from Mall Road near Kutchery and to reach here it takes about twenty minutes walk. The Ropeway distance is only 400 mtrs. And the sheer thrill of this ride is memorable. Gun Hill offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges namely Bunderpunch, Srikantha, Pithwara and Gangotri group.A bird's eye view of Mussoorie town and Doon Valley can be obtained from here. During pre-independence days a gun mounted on this top used to be fired heralding mid-day to enable people to adjust their watches and hence it got this name.

Lal Tibba Mussoorie

Lal tibba is the highest point of mussoorie in the Landour area of town. There is a telescope tower at this place from where you can take a close look at the majestic Himalayan range. 

Clouds End Mussoorie

Cloud end was one of the first bungalows built in mussoorie now it has been converted into a hotel called clouds end. It is one of the preferred resort for foreigners and honeymooners. The resort is surrounded by thick forest, offers a wide variety of flora and fauna besides a panoramic view of snow clad Himalayas, and Yamuna river.

Kempty fall is one of the favourate destination of tourists coming to mussoorie. Kempty fall is located 15km from mussoorie on the chakrata road.  It has the distinction of being the biggest and prettiest waterfall located in a beautiful valley and is surrounded by high mountain falling from a height of 40 ft. A nice picnic spot. Taking a bath at the foot of the fall is refreshing and is  enjoyed by all.

Lake Mist :- Its about 5 km before Kempty falls on the Mussoorie-Kempty road  and is a good picnic spot with accommodation and restaurant facilities, boating is also available.

Mussoorie Lake :- It is a  newly developed picnic spot situated on Mussoorie-Dehradun road having a facility of pedaled boats.
Vinog Mountain Quail Sanctuary :- 11 Kms to the south of Library Point lies an old sanctuary established in 1993 and covering an area of 339 hactares.

Dhanaulti  :- Dhanaulti is 24 Kms from Mussoorie and in itself a romantic getaway. Situated among the deodar/pine forest it offers a relaxing environment with cool breeze, lovely weather and fabulous view of of snow covered mountains making it an ideal retreat for a relaxed holiday.

Nagtibba :- 34 kms from Mussoorie one reaches is an ideal spot for trekking.

Surkanda Devi :- Situated at an elevation of 3030 mts above sea level near village Kaddukhal the temple of Surkanda Devi is 33 kms from Kaddukhal and one has to trek about 2 kms. The temple of Surkanda Devi is situated on the top of the mountain and is of great religious significance. A fair is held every year on “Ganga Dussehra” during May-June in which thousands of people participate.

Municipal Garden :- A perfect picnic spot the garden with its artificially created lake with paddled boating facility. It is located at a distance of 4 km by rickshaw cycles, pony or by a car and 2 km on foot. 

Yamuna Bridge :- About 27 kms from Mussoorie on Chakrata-Barkot road, is an ideal spot for fishing.

Bhatta Fall :- About 7 kms from Mussoorie on Mussoorie-Dehradun road. Access by car or bus upto Balta village from where the fall is 3kms by car or foot. An ideal spot for bathing and picnics. 

Jharipani Fall :- About 8.5 kms from Mussoorie on Mussoorie- Jharipani Road. Visitors can go by bus or by car upto 7 kms to Jharipani from where the fall is 1.5 kms, on foot.
